A pensioner has died after being hit by a car driven by another pensioner.
The 83-year-old victim was hit by a Daewoo Matiz being driven by an 80-year-old
woman in Wishaw on Saturday afternoon.
The Matiz was heading towards Cambusnethan at around 5.05pm on December 17 when
it his the 83-year-old, who was crossing Kirk Road near Morrison’s Supermarket.
The victim, who has not been named by police, was taken by ambulance to Wishaw
General Hospital but died a few hours later.
Cops say the driver was uninjured but left extremely shaken by the incident.
