Strathclyde Police have launched a murder inquiry after a young man died after being stabbed in Castlemilk last night.
The 25-year-old was walking in Tormusk Road about 11.45pm with a friend when a gang approached them.
An altercation took place and the man was left wounded. He rushed to the Victoria Infirmary by ambulance but was pronounced dead on arrival.
His friend was not harmed during the incident.
Cathcart cops believe the group that approached the man and his friend was made up of six males and two females.
